What is Diamond?

Diamond jewellery, in the modern sense, refers to jewellery built around faceted brilliant-cut diamonds using Western-style settings — prong, bezel, pave, channel, tension, halo and cathedral. Yes. Round brilliant, princess, oval, cushion, emerald, pear, marquise, radiant, asscher and heart-shape — each with correct facet geometry and light behaviour.

Does it distinguish between prong, bezel and tension settings?

Yes. Describe the setting type and metal choice — Facetra renders the actual setting geometry, not a decorative approximation.

How does the BOM handle diamond pricing?

The BOM uses live-rate gold pricing at current 18kt / 22kt / platinum spot prices, plus a diamond price band based on your carat / colour / clarity description. You can override with a fixed lab-report price.

Can I mix diamond with Indian Polki or Kundan in one piece?

Yes. Facetra is the only tool that renders Indo-Western designs — e.g. a Kundan-set Polki centre with a modern halo of brilliant-cut side stones — with both stone types shown correctly.

Is the 3D mesh accurate enough for casting?

The mesh is a design reference — your CAD operator retopologizes it in Rhino / MatrixGold before casting. Facetra's job is to shorten the sketch-to-reference cycle from days to minutes.
