Can Facetra tell the difference between Polki and modern faceted diamond?

Yes — that's the whole point of the tool. Polki has a diffuse, milky glow from foil-backing; faceted diamond has sharp brilliant sparkle. Facetra's prompt engine renders each stone type correctly based on your description.

Does the render show the silver-foil backing?

The foil backing is visible from the reverse side and subtly readable at oblique angles from the front, exactly as it appears in a real Kundan-set Polki piece.

How does Facetra estimate Polki carat weight for the BOM?

The BOM reads the stone diameter x depth ratios from your description or reference photo and estimates carat weight from average Polki density. You can override any value manually — the BOM is fully editable before export.

Is Polki the same as lab-grown or CVD diamond?

No. Polki is real, uncut, natural diamond in its original crystal form. Lab-grown / CVD diamonds are faceted the modern way. Facetra treats them as different visual assets.
