AI Tool for Jadau Jewellery Design
Render heritage Mughal-era Jadau pieces — soft-heated gold, hand-embedded uncut stones, jaali shoulders and meenakari reverse — in one photoreal frame.
Jadau (also Jarau, Jadtar) is the most labour-intensive Indian jewellery technique — a heavy bridal Rani Haar can take 100+ karigar hours to build. Facetra shortens the design + client-approval part of that timeline from days to minutes so your karigars can start building sooner.
Facetra's Jadau prompt library understands the technique end-to-end: the way pure gold is heated until soft and hammered around each uncut stone, the reverse Meenakari finish, the Rajwadi jaali shoulders, and the aad / chandbali / bali silhouettes that define classical Jadau pieces.
What is Jadau?
Jadau is an ancient Mughal-era Indian jewellery technique where pure gold is heated until malleable, then hand-hammered around uncut gemstones (typically Polki, uncut emerald and pearl) to secure them without prongs, glue or modern setting hardware. Every Jadau piece is a full-craft build — heated base of pure gold, one-by-one stone embedding, and decorative meenakari, jaali or nakashi around the setting. Jadau is the umbrella technique; Kundan is the specific stone-setting method most often used within it; Polki is the stone variety most often set.
What Facetra does for Jadau Ateliers
- Rajwadi jaali-shoulder rendering with correct meshwork density
- Reverse Meenakari painted panels with correct jewel-tone saturation (red, green, blue, ivory)
- Multi-view sheet that preserves silhouette across 0° / 45° / 90° / 180° views
- 3D mesh with wall-thickness guidance for lost-wax casting of heavy Jadau frames
- Live BOM combining 22kt gold, uncut Polki, silver-foil, meena enamel and karigar hours
- CAD-ready bare-metal view showing casting geometry without stones or enamel
The Facetra workflow (six steps, one afternoon)
- Upload the Jadau sketch — even a rough paper thumbnail works.
- Describe the piece: e.g. "heavy bridal Jadau aad with jaali shoulders and green meenakari reverse".
- Facetra renders the front face + subtly hints the reverse Meenakari in a second frame.
- Refine specific regions (change the centre chaton, deepen the meena, add ghungroo drops).
- Generate multi-view sheet + BOM at today's Zaveri Bazaar gold rate.
- Export 3D mesh (GLB / STL) — send to your CAD bench for retopology.

Frequently asked questions
How is Jadau different from Kundan and Polki?
Jadau is the technique (soft-gold + hand-embedded stones), Kundan is the setting method (24kt gold foil pressed around the stone), and Polki is the stone variety (uncut natural diamond). A single bridal piece can be Jadau-crafted, Kundan-set and Polki-studded simultaneously.
Can Facetra render the reverse Meenakari work on a Jadau piece?
Yes. Describe the meena tone and motif and Facetra produces a multi-view sheet with both the Kundan-set front and the Meenakari reverse in one deliverable.
Is Facetra accurate enough for a karigar to work from the render?
The render is the client-facing approval asset; the karigar works from the multi-view sheet, the bare-metal CAD-ready view and the BOM (all included in the CAD kit zip). Facetra explicitly produces those manufacturable references — not just pretty pictures.
What about wall thickness for heavy Jadau frames?
The CAD kit ships with a wall-thickness cheatsheet (lost-wax cast 0.6-0.8mm minimum, DMLS 1-2mm) tuned to Indian atelier casting practice.
Does Facetra work for wholesale Jadau catalogues too?
Yes — the PhotoRoom module produces 4K / 8K catalogue-quality renders on a solid matte-black backdrop for e-commerce, PDF catalogues and Instagram.
